Sleeps 4 (+1). Inside the cottage is a cosy lounge/diner with wood burning stove, comfy seating including leather sofa and arm chairs on original raised flagstone hearth. A large dining table for eating in or for sitting at to have a go at wide selection of craft activities available or playing one of the numerous board games.

Well equipped kitchen with gas oven and hob, microwave and selection of cookbooks and separate utility room with fridge/freezer, small washing machine and tumble dryer

There is a wide selection of maps and tourist information including menus and opening hours from local restaurants and pubs together with DVDs (there is no TV reception at Pontbren), CDs, games, books and puzzles.

Shower room (no bath) with toilet and bidet

Stairway (with optional stair gates top and bottom) leading to two charming bedrooms

Master bedroom has a king size bed and accommodates a z bed for a child and a cot.

Second twin bedroom. 

All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside is a fully enclosed garden with ample parking. An outbuilding housing the generator for electric and boot room. There is plentiful garden furniture and seating areas, BBQ and picnic facilities and a pretty summerhouse with panoramic views. A vegetable patch to sample seasonal vegetables and herbs is available for guests to enjoy and outdoor games including badminton, garden chess, table tennis and paddling pool ensure the children and adults alike can have some fun in the fresh air.

Pets welcome  – sheep are roaming in the surrounding countryside so dogs should be under close control at all times.

Car parking facilities are available next to the cottage, but not directly outside the front door – a 5 metre walk is necessary across an uneven cobbled path

 The nearest public transport is a bus service which runs hourly and collects passengers 3.5 miles from the cottage outside the local pub

The nearest train station is via Cilmery – Garth which is approximately 5 miles from the cottage

The nearest town in Llandrindod Wells, 6 miles from the cottage which has good transport links via taxis, buses and a train service

Deliveries can be arranged via local box schemes from farms by prior arrangement

There are no steps to negotiate to enter the property

The cottage is on two floors, the floor level is not the same throughout the property – there is a single step down to kitchen/bathroom and a flight of stairs to the bedrooms

There is no telephone reception at the cottage or landline

Assistance dogs are very welcome and there is a ‘free run’ area for them
